Spanish Carbon Group


    The Spanish Carbon Group (Grupo Español del Carbón, GEC) was founded in 1990 by a group of Spanish researchers of the Science and Technology of Carbon & Carbonaceous materials (such as coals, biomass, other fossil fuel-derived materials, activated carbons, nanotubes...). The objective of the Spanish Carbon Group as a Society is to encorage relationships among the different reseach centers in order to help us to solve the scientific and technical objectives.

    The Spanish Carbon Group GEC has celebrated from 1992 national scientific conferences each two years. The GEC as society is member of the European Carbon Society Association  (European Carbon Association), together to the Carbon Societies of Germany, France, United Kingdom, and Poland. Eurocarbon organizes each three year periods the International European Carbon Conference  CARBON'yy, where yy is the last two digits of the year, combined with  CARBON'yy Conferences that also are celebrated in Asia and the United States.

    The Spanish Carbon Group GEC is legaly constituted as a non-profit-making institution. Here there are links to statutes (only Spanish) and reglaments.
